Marketing Specialist- Content Coordinator

Position Description:

The Marketing Specialist - Content Coordinator role involves creating and managing content, overseeing sales tools and information development, managing social media, project management, and handling promotional items.  

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

Content Creation and Management

  • Serve as an exemplary writer, consistent with our company’s tone and mission. You write clean, concise, well-polished copy.
  • Develop content for websites optimized for SEO, emails, campaigns, newsletters, presentations, scripts and product notifications.
  • Edit content produced by your teammates, including conceptualizing the projects upfront and copy-editing prior to publishing.
  • Create free resources to drive leads, subscribers, awareness, and/or other important metrics (examples include ebooks, whitepapers, infographics, guides, etc.).
  • Blog on an ongoing basis to attract site visitors through search, our email subscribers, and other channels.
  • Grow our subscriber base by providing regular, helpful content that’s in-tune with their needs.
  • Contribute to long-form content projects, such as ebooks.
  • Manage freelance writer network, including recruitment, assignments, and feedback.
  • Create resources for channel partners and collaborate with the marketing team.
  • Maintain and organize info on Product Knowledge Center.

Sales Tools and Information

  • Oversee development of and updates to sales literature and technical manuals, including translations and distribution.
  • Develop and implement new/updated product launch plans.
  • Develop and edit product presentations.

Social Media

  • Schedule Social media calendar; create and post content.
  • Create and provide reports on social media engagement.

Project Management

  • Manage daily requests and assign in PM tool.

Promotional Items

  • Maintain company merchandise catalog and ordering processes.
  • Determine and order giveaway items and sales awards.
  • Manage annual promotional budget and expense tracking and assist with forecasting annual budgets.
  • Orders business cards and apparel as part of new employee onboarding.

General Marketing Department Support

  • Maintaining inventory of sales and marketing materials/literature, booths, displays, giveaways and all other assets.
  • Other support and administrative activities as needed for Marketing Department.

Qualifications/Education:

  • BA/BS or equivalent working experience in Marketing, Business, Communications or related experience and/or education
  • Minimum of 3-5 years related experience and/or education
  • A passion and strong understanding of the industry and our business' mission.
  • Experience marketing to industrial B2B audiences a plus.
  • Technical skills, fundamental knowledge of database technology
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. You will be working with other business professionals and are expected to convey the value of our product and programs and the culture and beliefs of our company outward to our partners.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our business' various types of content.
  • Excellent attention to detail both for line editing copy and consistency in style and tone across our content.
  • Advanced level proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Word. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
